Journal Cover with Handmade Roses

Journal Cover with Handmade Roses
Hi All,  Recently, I conducted a workshop for a birthday party for a 13 year old girl and her 23 friend. The mother of the girl and I decided that since it is a return gift too, we should go for an item that will be of use to the girls. Finally, after much discussion we thought to decorate a book cover with handmade flowers will be a good idea.  Here's what we made -          For this project, firstly covered the books with Papericious Printed Paper with the help of Ranger double-sided tape. For the background, we used Tim Holtz stencils with Dina Wakley Gesso using Ranger palette knife. For the flowers, we've used Spellbinder's rose creation die using Sizzix Big Shot Machine. The flowers are first distressed with Ranger's distress inks and later  embossed using Mcgill Paper Blossoms tools. I sprayed the flowers with my favourite pearl mists and added glossy accents dots. The label is cut with

How to Make Paper Flowers with Punch Craft
Hello,  I hope you all are doing great. This post is about the video tutorial on how to make paper flowers using punch craft.  I was getting requests about how to use Craft Punches. Before, I write about this project, I would like to share how I started with punch craft. I learnt the basic punch craft from Veena Di who is a relative. She's such a jovial person and a great teacher. To be honest, I chose to do the most difficult flower and by the end of it, I thought punch craft is not for me. But when I came to UAE and started exhibiting my works, people showed so much interest in Punch Craft flowers that I had to start doing it again and it was then, that I learnt with a lot of trial and error , how to make beautiful paper flowers. Name Plate with Punch Craft
Hello.  Today I am sharing with you a project which I did with a student few days ago. It's a name plate decorated with Paper Flower. I have used Retro Flower Punch for these beautiful flowers.  I have chosen to use white paper for the flowers which I have distressed with Mustard Seeds and Festive Berries. To glue these flowers, I have used Glossy Accent because it is super amazing and fast. The leaves are birch leaf by punch bunch which are also shaded with Forest Moss shade. For the stems, I have used beautiful Pip Berry Stems which I am using in almost all my project these days. The butterfly is cut with Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch and distressed with Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. The alphabet is cut using Memory Box Classic Uppercase Die. The border is adored with pearl strings. The entire project is sprayed with Ranger Perfect Pearl Mist. Here are some close ups of the project.  Do remember to pin the pictures and follow us on

Paper Quilling Wall Clocks

Paper Quilling Wall Clocks
Hi.  Recently, I have gotten obsessed with handmade wall clocks. I think they make very good gifts for all occasions. I am sharing the pictures of the projects which I did with my two students. The quilling design, quilled flowers, layout and style is similar, yet the types of leaves, colour combination and butterflies are different. You can watch this video to see how to do quilling and use quilling tools.      I have made 3-D layered quilled flowers, leaves and quilled swirls and fringed flowers. The background has been distressed with coordinating colors. On the purple piece, we have used stencils to create the background whereas on the pink piece, the edges have been stamped. For the sides, I have used Martha Stewart deep edge punches  - Scroll Heart and Deco Tassel. In the end, I like to spray the Ranger Perfect Pearl Mist as gives a very subtle glow.  Materials Used:  Paper Quilling Strips
